This policy explains what cookies are, which ones we use on acomply.co, and how you can change your choice. It is part of our Privacy policy and is written in line with Law 1581 of 2012 (Habeas Data — Colombia's data protection law) and Decree 1377 of 2013.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit it. They let the site remember information between pages (for example, that you're already signed in, what language you prefer) or help it understand how the service is used in aggregate. Some cookies are deleted when you close the browser (session cookies); others remain for a while (persistent cookies).
2. Cookies we use
Strictly necessary
These don't require consent because without them the platform doesn't work.
- Authentication session — keeps your sign-in active across pages while you use the admin panel. Expires when you close the browser or the session times out.
- Language preference — remembers the selected language (es / en).
- Cookie acceptance — saves your choice in the banner so it doesn't show again. Stored as a local entry called
acomply-cookie-consent. - Anti-CSRF tokens — protect forms against malicious submissions.
Optional (require your consent)
These only activate if you click Accept in the banner. We don't have any analytics active today, but we record your choice for when we add them.
- Anonymous analytics (planned — not active today) — a privacy-respecting provider (no profiling, no advertising third parties) will give us aggregated usage metrics.
Cookies we don't use
Acomply does not use third-party marketing cookies, social-network retargeting pixels, or cookies for advertising profiling. We also don't sell personal information to third parties (see Privacy policy §5).
3. Third-party cookies that may appear
Some external services the platform uses may set their own cookies on specific pages:
- Wompi — during a payment checkout. Sets cookies required to process the transaction securely. Processed by Bancolombia.
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with your Google account. Its own cookies are governed by Google's cookie policy.
- YouTube — if we embed a video in a blog post (when one exists). We recommend using its privacy mode when available.
4. How to change your choice
- From the bottom banner — if you want to undo your choice, delete the
acomply-cookie-consententry from your browser's local storage and reload the page. You'll see the banner again. - From your browser — most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies by domain. Look for "Settings" → "Privacy and security" → "Cookies".
- In incognito mode — cookies are deleted automatically when you close the window.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent certain features (sign-in, forms) from working correctly.
5. Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top. If the changes are significant, we'll let you know in the bottom banner the next time you visit the site.
